Globe Education Partnership Los Rios Community College District, the School of Education, UC Davis and the Mondavi Center are working together in a world-class partnership with Globe Education in London for teacher professional development. The Academy, offered by application to all Sacramento region high school and drama teachers, helps teachers find new ways to incorporate the study of Shakespeare into their curriculum and share the unique societal and cultural context of Shakespeare’s work with their students. A series of spring workshops lead by UC Davis faculty and Globe Education practitioners, a two week summer residency at Shakespeare's Globe in London, and a fall festival play finale at Mondavi Center including participating teachers and their classes comprise the Academy experience.
